dntfretprecious--a response to a meme I posted on my personal journal.
This is the letter the Doctor wrote to the Master as a first way of re-establishing contact after the Doctor gave up trying to help the Master adjust to being human. The Doctor wrote it about a year after moving to Washington DC, and wasn't really sure if he even wanted to post it. He put it in a stamped envelope with the Master's address on it and left it lying around, secretly hoping that someone would mail it and take the decision from him. As it was, the letter was eventually scooped up by Lu and mailed together with a bunch of other stuff.
